40th Anniversary Celebration
Elias Woodwork ownership group and staff along with the surrounding communities celebrated our 40th Anniversary on the Morden facility grounds on Sept. 16, 2023. We opened the activities to our employees and their families for the first few hours and then invited the general public from surrounding communities to join the festivities mid-afternoon. Among the highlights were children’s activities, 20 inflatables for all ages, numerous food trucks, live bands including the Quonset Brothers, Leathers & Lace and Canadian rock icons Trooper. The celebration ended with an incredible fireworks display.
President and CEO Ralph Fehr reflected on our company’s growth over the last four decades, recalling starting out with only two or three employees working days, evenings and weekends trying to get the business off the ground and run more efficiently. He notes that they intentionally chose a manufacturing business because the potential market could be substantial with product being shipped to customers far from home. He also added that the revenue that comes back to the local region through these sales is significant, and a large portion of it circulates throughout the local economy through employee purchases and local businesses. He was quick to point out that our company’s success and growth is because of its people.
