Marketing & Design Assistant

Elias Woodwork is looking for a talented, technology-savvy Marketing & Design Assistant. Our ideal candidate has at least one year’s experience in graphic design and marketing with the ability to multi task and deliver quality results. The Marketing & Design Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department under supervision of the Marketing Coordinator.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Copy writing and coordination of content for marketing materials, catalogs, reports, newsletters, press releases, case studies and presentations. 
  • Design and development support of print and online marketing materials. 
  • Ensure accuracy of all proofs and submissions, including proofreading/editing.
  • Social media marketing.
  • Market research and data analytics. 
  • Company website maintenance and updates.
  • Photography and video editing.
  • Compile and analyze competitor database.

Marketing & Design Activities:

  • Maintaining and adhering to marketing budgets and schedules under the direction of the marketing coordinator.
  • Executing a wide variety of duties that involves support of design, development and timely deployment of print and digital marketing materials, reports and communications.
  • Public relations, customer communications with regards to media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing assistant programs.
  • Assisting with planning and possibly attendance of tradeshows, company sponsored promotions and events, etc.
  • Researching, reporting & presenting on: market trends, technology advancements, competitors, website analysis, marketing strategies and results, etc.
  • Tracking campaigns, preparing performance analysis reports of post campaign and making recommendations to current programs for corrections.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of graphic design and marketing experience.
  • Completion of post-secondary certification in graphic design or marketing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, objectives and deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience with Photoshop, Corel Draw, Microsoft Office Suite and related graphics/marketing software.
  • Excellent communication skills, management and organizational abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using email management systems and familiarity with website programming language is desirable but not required. 
  • Desire and enthusiasm to contribute to a small team environment and overall company success

Entry Level Position - Job Summary

This position is required to working on a variety of tasks including but not limited; to operating hand tools and machinery; preparing orders for quality inspection in accordance with papers, identifying defects and repair work pieces when needed, sanding, puttying, ensuring orders meet quality standards and are ready for finishing, abilities to work in fast-paced environment, lifting up to 50 pounds as well as to stand for a prolonged period of time. 

Job Duties:

  • Operate hand tools and machinery (Orbital Sander, Putty Knife, etc.)
  • Ability to identify and match a product
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to stand for a prolonged period of time.
  • Good hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to read and understand paperwork to complete the orders
  • Work extra hours in the peak seasons.
  • Housekeeping

Job requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
  • Excellent attendance; 
  • Ability to read basic instructions and work with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to read a tape measure and use basic arithmetic;
  • Enjoys performing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to take accurate measurements;
  • Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers.

Evening Shift

Evening Shift runs from Monday to Thursday, that's right only 4 days a week! The shift starts at 3:30 PM and runs till 1:30 AM. The Evening Shift breaks a total of 1 hour, which are all paid! You are at work for 10 hours and you get paid 10 hours. We pay a shift premium of $1.50/hr
